What do I wear?
Exercise clothes. Jogging pants, T-Shirt, lycra shorts or tights. Jumper and socks for relaxation. We work in bare feet.

Do I need a yoga mat?
Yes. Please bring your own mat to class. You can pick one up very cheaply now. 6ft long about 3mm thick. Try Home Bargains, TK Max, Tesco. Should be under £10. Don't get ripped off on the internet.

Can I do yoga when I'm pregnant?
You can practice yoga after the first trimester (10 weeks) The first 10 weeks yoga free protects from possible miscarriage.
Mums (and Dads!) can get very scared particularly if it is your first. I always say before you start any exercise think for 2
people - you and the baby. What you do it shares. So a happy relaxed mum encourages a happy relaxed baby. This is not a time to be getting tired out or at all stressed. Postures are modified for you. A pregnant mum gets a class within a class and help with breathing skills and quick relaxation techniques. If you are in doubt in class stop and ask.

I am very stiff, have arthritic joints and I'm 50,60, 70, can I do yoga?
Yes you can. All we have to do is find the right class for you. Some of my classes are more active than others. Some are for beginners, some for those with a bit more experience. Have a look through my timetable and see when you are free. Then come and try a class. If it is too strong for you I will try my best to offer an alternative class or find another teacher for you.

I want to start yoga have you got space in your class?
Yes I have. Most venues are spacious enough to squeeze in two or three even if the class is nearly full. Not everyone is able to attend every week. However, Leisure Centre classes, where i am an employee are heavily subscribed and often have a waiting list. If you want to come to a Leisure Centre class please contact the centre directly (see NLC page for phone numbers). You may be lucky, sometimes there are spaces or you can put your name down on a waiting list. The wait will not be too long in most case
